Students are introduced to the different types of fire extinguishers and their uses to fight different types of fires.

Here a student is shown how to utilise a water filled extinguisher to put out a waste paper bin fire.

Every one takes a turn at the practical side.

Training Cont'd

Here a team member is instructed in the use of CO2 in a confined area. (Note the requirement for Breathing Apparatus)

And here, how to tackle that common fire hazard, "the chip pan fire". Here a fire blanket or damp (rung out) cloth is used to starve the fire of oxygen.
